art comes in many forms, here are some that i love
A large part of my culture is drawn from music and its relevance to me has been present since the very beginning. Lullabies and Karaoke parties were staples throughout my childhood. In the 5th grade I picked up my first trumpet, and I ended up playing all throughout Middle and High School. Along the way I had the chance to familiarize myself with the Guitar and Piano, giving me the chance to play songs that my parents love for them.
If you have met any filipino person, I'm sure that they have the best taste in food. Growing up scents of adobo and tinola filled the house from the Kitchen. I learned how to cook at a very young age learning from the best chef in the world, my Mother. I have experience in the seafood industry, and I also have a blast trying and conjuring up new recipes at home. Food is what nourishes my body and propels me through life, all while being absolutely delicious.
One of favorite ways to express myself is through what I wear. I always tell my acting friends that "What you wear is the one external you have control of in an audition room, so you know I"m gonna drip and feel good." I love playing with different silhouettes and repurposing old garments. My inspiration comes from my father in the 90s. A recent patch up I did was on an old pair of jeans, and they ended being the ones I wore for Tommy in Dreamline, releasing soon.
